How do you bleach hair with hydrogen peroxide and how long does it take?
I know you can lighten your hair with hydrogen peroxide ,but how long do you do it for? If I soak it for 9 hours would that work or does anyone have something better?
coincidently this is exactly how I’ve been lightening my hair for the past month and its working amazingly.
I use the 3% bottles you can get in the supermarket or chemist, I either use a toothbrush or nail brush to brush the peroxide through my hair.
I have naturally blonde hair but its more a dark ash blonde so It works best if you already have blonde hair or if you have the kind of hair that lightens itself in the summer.
It WILL have a peroxide orange tinge if you do more that one application but its a simple fix.
I use a stong silver shampoo(some ppl call them purple or blue shampoo) which you can get at any good hair salon or product store. just maybe use it more often or for the first time use a lot on dry hair so it really sticks.
but so far I have used 3 bottles of HP and my hair is a lot lighter and ppl have been noticing but say it really looks nice and not orange or fake at all.
some ppl cant even work out what ive done, they just like it.
so yes it works, I brush it through, with a toothbrush or nailbrush, and its easy to touch up sooner than you can with a salon job.
I leave the peroxide to dry on my hair, because my hair is very healthy but if you have dry hair maybe you can dry it and then rinse it out.
I find to see dramatic results i need to apply over and over, so while im watching tv or something i just add some, blow it dry see how it is then add some more.
for me it only takes till its dry to see how much it has lightened
go for your life, it works great, but remember to buy a toner or silver shampoo because it will Get Rid of the peroxide orange tinge.
